Banned Books to Read

Banning books has been a thing since 1637. Matthew Taub published, New English Canaan, and it was banned because of its controversial contents regarding politics. The concept of banning books has been scrutinized by many and with good reason. Books being banned for topics like racism, homophobia, critiques of the government, sexual violence, and many more. This is censorship. Books like Beloved by Toni Morrison have been banned due to its discussion of slavery and racism. A book like Beloved being banned is simply unethical and takes away educational and societal knowledge and information. I will provide a list below of books that have been banned that readers should read.
